BIO : Like a lot of us I faced some challenges in life that helped me create a better perspective on how I want to live. A few years ago I made some big changes after realizing that life is too short to be caught up in anything that doesn’t help create peace. I also saw that if I wanted to have an amazing experience here I would have to recognize that there is something bigger than me and my own interests at work. In line with this understanding I view life as a process of giving and receiving as being the same. Through this lens I have developed a deep appreciation for what I have and express that gratitude by trying to be of service to others. I’m definitely not perfect at it, but it’s something to strive for, one day at a time.
I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2001 where I was trained to assess and treat many types of pathologies with a concentration on Headache Relief, Whiplash Injuries, Trigger Point Therapy (treating knots in muscles) and Muscle Spasms. My goal as a RMT is to help you to recover from the physical challenge you are presented with. By assessing your symptoms I will try to find the root cause of your pain. I then use various massage techniques such as kneading, trigger point therapy, frictioning, and remedial exercises as part of your individualized treatment plan. I also understand that massage therapy is not always just about pain relief. Using Massage to help bring relaxation to a stressful experience, or just creating a peaceful state of mind when calm is needed is equally as important.
